Use this guide to create and manage tasks directly from the ProjectMark Outlook plugin. Managing tasks from your inbox helps you stay on top of follow-ups, assign responsibility, and keep task progress aligned between Outlook and ProjectMark—without switching tools.
This guide covers basic task creation, email associations, subtasks, and opportunity-related task management within the Outlook plugin.
Basic Task Options
- Add a title to clearly describe the task
- Assign the task to the appropriate team member
- Set a due date and define the task’s priority
Managing Email Associations
Email associations are automatically linked to the task. You can also manually add new associations or remove any that aren’t relevant, giving you full control over how emails connect to tasks.
Additional Task Management Features
From the Outlook plugin, you can:
- Update the task status
- Track progress
- Add a detailed description
Creating Subtasks
If additional breakdown is needed, subtasks can be created using the same process as a main task, allowing you to manage complex work more effectively.
Managing Tasks for Opportunities
When viewing an email linked to an opportunity, scroll to the Tasks section at the bottom of the page to view, manage, or create tasks related to that opportunity. Tasks created this way automatically include the opportunity’s associations, just like in the CRM.
Accessing Tasks in the CRM
Click Open in CRM to jump directly to the task board in ProjectMark, where you can continue managing tasks with full context and visibility.
